Highlighting our favorite area playgrounds

This playground is owned and maintained by the City of Takoma Park. It gets its name from the spring that runs right next to the playground. We loved jumping on the stepping stones and searching for frogs in the water. (We didn't see any but we definitely heard a few having a conversation.)

The playground has a large covered gazebo that was perfect for a lunch break or a playdate meet-up. And we found that thanks to many large trees, there was plenty of shaded equipment--even though we chose to visit mid-day when it was unseasonably hot.

There are several large slides, including doubles you can race down and a tall twisty one. There are ramps to run up, a tunnel to shimmy through, and ladders to climb on. There is even an old-school metal climbing structure that looks like it somehow survived several more recent park renovations.

We didn't test out the swings or see-saw because they were in the sun when we arrived, but we did walk a bit around the grounds to find a small trail, a baseball field, and a basketball court. There was a lot of explore, and we definitely want to visit again.
