Sligo Creek Parkway at Kennebec Avenue
This playground is brand new! It has shiny new equipment with a variety of exciting new features. The structure for smaller kids has a slide, a tunnel, and several ladders to climb along.

The bigger structure has two gigantic slides and a multi-level platform to get to the tippy-top of the structure. My kids enjoyed just hanging out in the top of the play structure, hidden and among the trees.

Our definite highlights in this park were the two ziplines. One is a disc that kids can sit or stand on while they swing across a 20 foot space. The other has an adaptive swing so that smaller children or children with disabilities can enjoy the fun, too. Throughout the park are games like fortune-telling stars and connect four that are embedded into the walls of the playground equipment. There were also various stationary instruments to find, test out, and make music.

There isn’t a ton of shade on the playground equipment at this park, though there is some along the creek and where the picnic tables stand. And there is only a small lot directly next to the play structure, but there is street parking close by and additional lots further down Sligo Creek.
