I hadn't been to this playground near Downtown Silver Spring since I was a kid myself, but I'm glad we went to check it out. Woodside Urban Park has a lot of great attractions for kids, teens, and even adults all packed into this Georgia Avenue and Spring Street corner.

There are several play sections, with big slides, climbing and spinning structures, and monkey bars, for which we are always on the lookout. There is a ride-on rocket ship, and a bus in the little kid area. And lots of swings! In a shady part of the playground there is a climbing obstacle course, a bouncy jumper, and a hand glider, which were all big hits.

This playground also has tennis courts, basketball, and even a skate park on site. There are lots of picnic tables (also in the shade) and lots of little corners to explore. There are plans to refresh this playground in the coming years to make it even more accessible and renewed. Park on First Ave for free for 2 hours to avoid paying at the meters (like we did).
