Hillandale Local Park

This park is brand new (November 2023) and offers so many different ways to play! There is bright equipment with multiple twisty slides, a rock wall, and a mini house and climbing dome for younger kids.

My kids loved the huge log obstacle challenge course that is set next to the more typical play structure. I saw big kids, little kids, adults and even teens having fun testing out the log course and finding different ways to play along it. It is the ultimate The Ground is Lava play spot.

And we also enjoyed the double swing that even accommodates a grown-up; of course I tried it out.

This park is in Hillandale right on New Hampshire Ave but is set far enough back from the road that it feels safe despite the big street. There is a walking path, several different types of sports fields and a big covered picnic area with miniature tables for the kiddos. Oh! And it has BATHROOMS that are open to the public! With changing tables!
