That's why we've rounded up a list of family-friendly restaurants in our area where you can feel confident that you aren't going to get (too many) side-eyed looks when your little one spills her water for the fourth time or starts to sing-shout Twinkle Twinkle in the middle of dinner. El Golfo in Long Branch offers Latin and Mexican food, including burritos, pupusas, and quesadillas. They have a good size patio and the restaurant is located right across the street from Flower Urban park for an after dinner play session.

This chicken restaurant serves up fried chicken, sandwiches, and fries. They have great side dishes, like coleslaw, mac and cheese, and baked beans, too. Finish up your meal with soft-served ice cream. While the restaurant has no dedicated kids' menu, all of their food (especially the ice cream) are winners for the kids in our house.
Mi Rancho

This Silver Spring staple is a family favorite. They serve Tex-mex standards, like enchiladas, fajitas, and taco dinners. They bring you a basket of tortilla chips right when you arrive, so your kids won't get too antsy waiting for their food to come. Kid also always love to watch the tortilla machine inside the restaurant work its magic!
Roscoe's Neapolitan Pizzeria

Roscoe's (named after the famous rooster that used to roam around Takoma Park) serves brick-oven pizza, salads, and pasta. There is also weekend brunch with frittatas and breakfast flatbreads, and an in-house gelato restaurant opened Fridays through Sundays.

Every time I've visited Zinnia, there have been kids running and playing all over the garden grounds. Since you have the option to sit on the patio or at a table in the green space of the garden, this is a good spot for the entire family.
