Every August, Maryland has a Tax-Free Shopping Week just in time for back-to-school shopping. This year's tax-free week is coming up from Sunday August 14 to Saturday August 20. During this time, you do not need to pay sales tax on qualifying footwear or clothing that cost less than $100. Additionally, the first $40 off backpacks are tax-exempt during this week.
