Flower Avenue Urban Playground

This playground that sits back on Flower Avenue in the Long Branch area has a lot to offer. The playground itself is fairly small, with a large net climbing structure, a tall slide and a tire swing for playing.

What stands out about this park is how it has been developed into a meeting place along this bustling urban area. There are picnic tables and chairs to sit and chat, a large orange swing that can fit an entire family (the kind you might find on a wrap around porch), and brightly painted bricks line the pathways around the playground.

Because of its location and large area for eating and meeting, this playground is often used for events and activities. There are many restaurants and shops along Flower Avenue, including El Golfo (which made our Kid-Friendly Restaurant Guide) right across the street. The Discover Long Branch neighborhood initiative has several annual gatherings at this park. Coming up is the Long Branch Fest on September 9 and 10.
